Timing Belt / Chain Replacement
If your vehicle is due a timing belt or timing chain replacement then get in touch to see how we can help.
Is my car due a change?
Belts usually require changing every 5-7 years although this can vary by manufacturer, Chains are meant to be lifetime parts but on certain engines (BMW / Mini 2.0 Diesel) we have seen them suffer catastrophic failures at ~80k mileage so we do recommend changing them before they fail, there are sometimes tell-tale signs such as a noisy chain but they have been known to fail without warning.
For more information on whether your vehicle is due a change check your vehicle manual.
Using only OEM specification parts, DRS can replace your timing belt or chain at a very competitive cost, and usually much cheaper than main dealers.
What if it fails?
Timing chain failure can be very expensive and usually required a full engine re-build if not a replacement engine, if yours has failed then get in touch to see if we can help get you back on the road as we offer both engine repair and replacement services.
